Lillian Margaret (Grimes) Stoner Wright

Lillian Margaret (Grimes) Stoner Wright, 96, of Thurmont, MD, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at South Mountain Rehab Center, Boonsboro, MD, surrounded by loving family.

Born on November 11, 1929 in Thurmont, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lena Elizabeth (Colliflower) Grimes and Elmer Philmore Grimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Samuel Bernard Stoner, Sr.; Brother, William Grimes; Sisters, Agnes Francis Miller and Mary Elizabeth Pryor; and Niece, Laura Elizabeth Andrew.

Lillian worked in the shoe factory in Thurmont for 50 years.

Lillian was a lifetime member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmitsburg, MD and a Gold Star Member of Thurmont American Legion, Post 168.

She enjoyed scratch offs, Bingo, Puzzle books, trips to the casino, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her Children, Samuel Bernard Stoner, Jr. (Alana), Cecelia Ann Fox (Dennis), Anita Stoner, David Allen Wright (Pansy), and Jamie Lea Wright (Pam); 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren; numerous Nieces and Nephews; and special friend, Raymond Brown, Sr.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
