Loretta "Sissy" Jane Hargett (Baugher) passed away on February 22, 2024, in Boonesboro, MD, at the age of 65. She was born on August 5, 1958, in Frederick, MD. Sissy graduated from Catoctin High School in the Class of '77 and worked at Walmart for many years before retiring. Sissy was a beacon of love and joy, always greeting her friends and family with a warm smile. Her kind heart touched the lives of many, as she selflessly offered help to anyone in need. Sissy had a passion for singing karaoke and brought laughter and happiness to every gathering. She also had a talent for crafting, creating beautiful works of art that reflected her creativity and love. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sissy is survived by her loving husband, Lewis Hargett Jr, her son; Bobby Hargett (wife Bobbi Hargett), her granddaughter River Robinson, as well as her brothers; Richard Baugher (Kay), Leonard Baugher (Wendi), Ralph Eyler (Debbie), Carol White, Joyce Hixon (Ernie), Jo Hurley (Paul), Francis Flora and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and special friend Christine Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her parents Norval & C. Romain Eyler, brothers; Samuel Baugher, George Baugher, Ray Baugher, Ronnie Eyler. Sisters; Kathy Roberts, and Darc Baugher.
A memorial service will be held at Monocacy Church of the Brethren, 13517 Motters Station Rd, Rocky Ridge, MD, 21778 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The viewing will take place from 1 PM to 2 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. interment to be followed out at gravesite behind church. J.L Davis of Smithsburg, MD, is assisting with the funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rocky Ridge Monocacy Church of the Brethren in care of Bob Free or to J.L Davis Funeral Home. Special thanks from the family to Hospice of Washington County and Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown MD for all the compassion and support provided for our beloved sissy. May her soul rest in peace.
