Lucille Harne, 90, of Cavetown, MD passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in her home with her family by her side. Lucille was born on March 8, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Beulah Cline. She retired from Carson Jewelers of Hagerstown and was a member of Garfield United Methodist.
She is survived by her husband, Basil, her only son, Jerry and daughter-in law Loreen,
2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Lucille and Basil celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary last year. They enjoyed many trips in their RV to Florida, the Smokey Mountains, Alaska, and Canada to name a few. They also rode many miles on their motorcycles over the years. From the story of them meeting at a carnival to her final day on this earth their marriage represented the most beautiful love story and will always be an inspiration to others.
Lucille will be greatly missed by anyone that knew her. She would always say as anyone left from visiting, “Come back, our door is always open” and it truly was.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Washington County, with special thanks to Danielle and Amanda.
Services will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11:00am at Garfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in Cavetown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
