MARY MARGARET BACHTELL

Mary Margaret Bachtell of Hagerstown passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living. She was the daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Luipersbeck.

Mary's greatest pleasures in life included preparing family meals, baking, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, she enjoyed raising farm animals, and planting crops and flowers. She also had interest in sports and quilting. Before raising her own children, she had various jobs over the years and later was an active member of her church and the local Grange.

Mary was loved and adored by all those who had the pleasure of spending time with her.

She is survived by a son Neal Bachtell/Ellen, a daughter Patina Bachtell, four grandchildren Jason Bachtell/ Tarra, Sara Clark/Bert, Corey Bachtell/Kate, Mark Hutzell/Beth, and 3 great-grandchildren Rebekah, Garrett and Nathan.

In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth Bachtell and two brothers Joseph and Robert Luipersbeck.

Services will be private.
