Marie Bridget (Armstrong) Schrader

Marie B. Schrader 82 of Smithsburg, Md. gained her wings on August 5, 2021. Born May 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mae Armstrong of Shamokin Pa. Marie is survived by her Daughter Diane and Richard Lynn of Higginsville, Mo. And their daughter Alison and soon to be son in law Buzz Jones of Parsons, Kansas, her son Wayne and Rhonda Schrader of Smithsburg, their son Morgan of Waynesboro, Pa. And a very special friend, Earl Babbington of Hagerstown, Md. Marie had two brothers Edward and Jack Armstrong. She was employed by the Washington County School Board as a cook in both the Smithsburg Elementary and Middle Schools and then became a Bartender/Cook at South Mountain Rod and Gun Club. She was also a Bartender at Funkstown American Legion and worked until her retirement at The AMVETS In Hagerstown Md. Marie had the gift of gab and could make friends easily with anyone and would lend a helping hand to those in need. She loved to travel and had many opportunities to do so with her son in laws career in the Air Force stationing him and her daughter all over the world. She also loved to travel to Atlantic City with her very special friend Diane Baker. Marie was a member of Otterbien Methodist church in Hagerstown.
