Marsha Elaine (Hose) Pickens, 77, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on August 13 at Meritus Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Marsha was born on December 12, 1947, in Front Royal, VA to the late Speener Marvin Hose and Wilda May (Laise) Hose.
She was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School. Marsha has worked in various careers over the years, primarily in property management in Baltimore, Winchester, Frederick, and Rockville. She also worked for the State of Maryland in Housing and Community Development, retiring in 1996. She was also the owner of Marsha’s Closet in Williamsport. In more recent years, she was involved in working on the committee of the “No Class Reunion.”
Marsha was a long-time member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Williamsport, where she sang in the church choir and was regularly involved with the weekly Bible studies.
She is survived by two sisters, Amanda Robinson and her husband Aden of Hagerstown, and Melissa Hose, also of Hagerstown; as well as her nephews, nieces, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, stepchildren, and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Hose; and her former husband, Terry Pickens.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
