Martha "Sue" Susan (Harne) Toms-Collins

Martha "Sue" Susan Toms-Collins, 80, of Frederick, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at her home.

Born on February 17, 1943 in Myersville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Mollie Margaret (Lewis) and Ernest Ray Harne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Brother, Rudolph Harne.

Sue graduated from Middletown High School, class of 1961.

Sue was employed by Gene's 24 Hour Towning in Silver Spring from 1972-1980.

Sue was a lifetime member of Garfield United Methodist Church, Smithsburg. She enjoyed spending time with family, and enjoyed making her own floral arrangements and other crafts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Austin Lee Collins; Daughter, Kimberly Bowers of Frederick, MD; Son, Gary Toms of Knoxville, MD; Grandsons, Brandon and Shawn Bowers; Great Granddaughter, Faith Bowers; Sister, Esther Weagley; Brothers, Virgil and Wayne Harne; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 1 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave., Smithsburg, with Rev. Al Deal officiating. Interment will follow in Garfield UMC Cemetery, Smithsburg.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
