Mary Ann Mackrell

Mary Ann Mackrell, 67, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Fahrney Keedy Nursing Home in Boonsboro.
Born on October 29, 1955, in South Bound Brook, NJ., she was the daughter of the late Delores (Patterson) and James Harvey Connor, Jr. She is a graduate of Somerville High School, class of 1973, and a graduate of Hagerstown Business College in 2007.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lillian Connor; Brothers, Douglas Connor, James H. Connor, III., and John Connor; and Sister, Denise Heid; and her beloved dog, Baby.
Mary Ann worked as a clerk in Medical Records for WVU Berkeley Medical Center until her retirement after over 10 years of service.
Mary Ann attended Lifehouse Church in Hagerstown. She enjoyed spending time gardening and working out at Planet Fitness, and was proud of her time as a student of karate at Smith's Karate in Smithsburg. She enjoyed, more than anything, spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her former husband Paul Mackrell, Jr and their sons; Jeremy Mackrell and wife Kayla, and Justin Mackrell and wife Natalie, both of Hagerstown; Grandchildren, Taylor and Alexis; Sisters, Kim Rudnick (Forrest), and Brenda Connor; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday November 5, 2023, at 3pm at Robinwood Church in Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Henry Marquiss officiating. Family will visit with guests immediately following the service.
