Maybell Grace (Stonesifer)Johnston passed November 9,2025 at Fahrney Keedy Senior Living Community Boonsboro, Maryland. She was the first born to George Elwood Stonesifer and Ethel May (Barber) Stonesifer April 29,1940. George and Ethel had two more daughters Arlene (Stonesifer) Gettle and Pearl (Stonesifer) Reyes. Maybell had three children with her late husband, Melvin Johnston. The first Betty Johnston, then Wanda (Johnston) Murphy, and lastly Johnny Elwood Johnston. In early life, Maybell enjoyed music, dancing, art, playing cards and table games with family. She enjoyed sharing meals with family and celebrating holidays and birthdays. Five years ago, she fell broke her hip in four places. This lead to her transition to Fahrney Keedy Senior Living Community. There she met new people.She enjoyed coloring, and watching TV. Most of all, she loved her companion cat (Tuxefo) black and white in color. She enjoyed talking and whispering to Tux while they both watched videos of kittens and cats playing. Her cat remained by her side until the end. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. Also, her sisters Pearl Reyes and Arlene Gettle her brother in law Kenneth Gettle and her daughter, Wanda Murphy. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Johnston and son, Johnny Johnston, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
