Myrtle Jane Hess

Myrtle "Jane" Hess was born November 25, 1936 on the family farm and passed on May 24, 2026. She was the daughter of the late S. Allen and Hettie G. Hess. She has lived on the family farm her whole life.

Jane graduated from Smithsburg High School, class of 1955.

Aside from working on the farm and caring for close family members, she was employed at local restaurants-Chestnut Logs, Mountain Gate, and Keystone Family Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by Sisters, Sara Weaver and Kathryn Biser; Brothers, J. Harvey Hess, Guy S. Hess, Merle "Bill" Hess and Walter Hess; Niece, Christina Hess; Nephew, John H. Hess, and Great Nephews, Hunter Hess and Lane T. Hess.

She is survived by a number of Nieces and Nephews, as well as Great Nieces and Nephews.
