Obituary
Nancy Lee Burns, 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her home in Boonsboro, MD.
She had been bravely battling pancreatic cancer for a year.
Born, February 9, 1949, in Frederick, MD, Nancy was the daughter of the late Hank and Pauline Grossnickle.
She is survived by her three children, Lisa Frushour, Kim Killingsworth, and Anthony Rhodes, seven grandchildren, Aaron Kaufman, Timmy Kauffman, Vincent Leaman, Chloe Killingsworth, Jacob Rhodes, Sara Rhodes, and Virginia Hueni, a great-grandson, Bodey Kaufman, three sisters, Patricia Miss, Linda Howard, and Marie Osborne, and two brothers, Steve Grossnickle, and Ronnie Grossnickle.
Nancy will always be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She was a great friend to many. She loved to laugh, she had a great sense of humor and was always a great listener.
Nancy was kind, generous and forgiving.
She always loved deeply, especially her children and grandchildren.
Nancy touched many lives and will forever be missed!
A celebration of life and remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Boonsboro Community Center in Shaffer Park, Boonsboro, MD, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
Services were arranged by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
