Nancy June (Coyle) Green

Touching many heads with her crocheted hats and many hearts with her soul, Nancy June Green still touches lives after her death. Nancy brought light into this world on March 18, 1944, and left that light with her loved ones on April 21, 2022, at the age of 78 surrounded by friends and family. She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School in 1962 and married the love of her life in 1966 James (Jim) Russell Green. Within Nancys lifetime she worked at Regency for thirty-four years stripping negatives in photon and retired a stripper as she loved to tell people. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, drawing, and all things simple in life but most importantly loved spending time with her family. With a happy “Hello” followed by “do you want something to eat” there was never a time Nancy didn’t make friends and family feel loved, as her spirit never wrinkled with age. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor, and friend who loved to keep everyone laughing. Nancy enjoyed going camping at the river with family and always dreamed of having a log cabin. Preceded in death by her parents Hazel Ola Coyle and John (Jack) Franklin Coyle along with her sister Ola Irene McPherson, and brother John Franklin Coyle the second. She is survived by her beloved best friend and husband of 55 years James (Jim) Russel Green. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Jane Huffer, Dorothy Jean LeFevre, and Betty Anne Molina; daughter, Jackie Guyer and her husband Mike; son, Mike Green and his wife Kammy; Grandson, Colten Green; Granddaughters, Tierra Green, Danielle McClure, and Chanelle Cicero; great grandchildren, Aubrey Green, Haven McClure, Quinn McClure, and Cohen Mowen. A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with pastor Terry Marshall officiating.
