Nancy Elizabeth (Piper) Robinson

Nancy Elizabeth (piper) Robinson, 80, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD. Born February 21, 1940 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Webster Piper, Sr. and Susan Jane (Tracy) Piper. She was a retired beautician and loved working in the cosmetology profession. She enjoyed traveling and camping, especially to country music destinations and was very active in local square dance clubs for most of her life. Nancy was delightful, kind, generous, and compassionate. Over the years her home became a haven to many loved animals. She was a joy to be with and loved card games and dominos. She was a member of Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church of Williamsport, MD, and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star Hagerstown Chapter #89. Nancy is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Andrew Robinson whom she married October 5, 1958; two daughters, Debora Piper and husband Carl; Elain Johnston and husband Greg; three sisters, Susan Cox and husband Don, Barbara Evans and Patsy Madden and husband Henry; and one brother, Henry Piper and wife Bonnie; four grandchildren, Ayesha (Artz) Huntzberry and husband Troy, Megan Artz, Matthew Johnston and fiancé Kimberly Wan, and Nathan Johnston and fiancé Rachel Ferrer; three great-grandchildren, Faith, Landon, and Logan Huntzberry; and numerous nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janel Robinson; one grandchild, Saranda Artz; one brother, Samuel Piper, Jr.; and three half-brothers, Page, Jacob, and Daniel Piper. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown for the exceptional care and love they showed to Nancy and her family during her nearly two year stay. A celebration of life will be private and at the convenience of the family.
