Ned D. Robinson, 92, of Smithsburg MD passed away on Tuesday April 30, 2024.
He was the son of Roy and Charlotte Robinson. He graduated from Williamsport High School and later received his A.A. from Hagerstown Community College. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War with this last tour of duty aboard the USS Missouri. He was employed by the US Postal Service prior to his retirement. He was a long-time member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Beaver Creek, MD.
He was survived by his wife of 67 years, Cornelia (Connie), four daughters Kathy Randolph (Robert), Cynthia Blickenstaff (Ronnie), Pamela Perez (Chris), Mary Cook (Clarence II) and one son Roy Robinson (Jennifer). Ned also had many nieces and nephews including Peggy, Guy and Nathan Robinson. He was a dedicated grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy & Charlotte, his sisters Vera, Rita, Grace and Jeane, brothers, Leroy, Victor, Guy and grandson Brett Winders.
He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed travelling around the US. After retiring he enjoyed gardening and recycling. His favorite past time was reading while munching on his Fritos.
Viewing will be held at Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD on Monday May 6th from 6pm to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held Tuesday May 7th at Davis Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn, Hagerstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Matthew’s Lutheran church, Beaver Creek, Md.
