Orville “Junior” Shank Jr, 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully Monday, September 17, 2018 surrounded by his family at Washington County Doey’s Hospice House of Hagerstown.
Born Monday, January 31, 1944 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Orville Shank, Sr. and Catherine Irene (Nalley) Shank.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Anna Irene “Sue” Shank, November 19, 2017.
Junior was a mechanic by trade and was previously employed by Crown Inc.
He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Morgan, Teresa Massie and Kelly Miller, one son, David Shank, 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 6 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William and Dennis Shank, one infant son and one infant grandson.
A private family service will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 7:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Betty Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends for public viewing and fellowship from 6-7pm before the service.
