PAGE MICHAEL "MIKE" WELTY

Page Michael "Mike" Welty, 64, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, January 13, 2025, at UPMC Carlisle, Carlisle, PA, surrounded by loving family.

Born on December 15, 1960, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Shirley Ann (Ware) and John Adam Welty.

Mike graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School, class of 1978.

Mike married Gwen Kennedy in October of 1984, and on April 29th, 1984, his only child was born, a beautiful daughter named Shaunn.

Mike worked most of his life for the Waynesboro Area School District, first as a food delivery driver for the district, then later as the groundskeeper. He was very particular on how the grass look, it had to be perfect, to which when he taught his daughter to mow at home he taught her the same attention to detail.

Mike enjoyed throwing darts on Tuesday nights in a dart league that started at the Five Forks Tavern then moved to the Black Horse.

Mike also enjoyed baseball, which he played as a child, Lionel Trains, Harley Davidsons, and spending time with his friends and family.

Mike lived in Rouzerville from 1983 to 2010, and has lived in Manor Care of Carlisle from 2014 to the present due to his dimentia.

He is survived by his daughter, Shaunn Hill and husband, Brian; 2 Grandchildren, Brentten and Tinzley; Brother, John Welty (Vicky); Sister, Connie Simmers (Dwayne); 2 Nieces and 2 Nephews; and numerous cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Adam Welty and Shirley Ann Ware.

A viewing will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, from 6-8 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD 21783.
