Paul Elwood Cordell

Paul Elwood Cordell, 93, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown. Born December 5, 1927, in Mercersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond Garfield Cordell and Sarah Hazel (Rice) Cordell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Beryle (Donivan) Cordell, one stepson, Gary L. Proctor and one daughter-in-law, Holly H. Proctor and one son-in-law, Frank V. Shuey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Mack Trucks of Hagerstown, MD. Paul is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. Widmyer and husband Dale, granddaughter, Hayley M. Widmyer, stepchildren, Betty M. Proctor, Debbie D. Hartman and husband Keith, Bev Shuey and L. William Proctor, their children: Mark, Dayton, Sarah, Hannah, Gary Jr., Jason, Dustin, Frank Jr., Christopher, Jonnette, John and Kevin, their families and daughter, Sandy Cordell. A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 2:30pm at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Dwayne Musgrove officiating.
