Paul Thomas Twigg

Paul Thomas Twigg, 60, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at his home. Born Saturday, March 7, 1959 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of Freda (Welch) Long of Cumberland, MD. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Koelker. He attended Fort Hill High School. Paul was employed by Sierra Nevada Corporation of Hagerstown, MD, and was a longtime trim carpenter who took a lot of pride in his work. He was a member of Harmony Community Lutheran Church of Myersville, MD. Paul was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. In addition to his mother, Paul is survived by his wife, Diane “Jozy” Twigg, daughter, Hannah Twigg of Jefferson, MD, step-daughter, Misty Posada and fiancé Norman Batres, brothers, Tony Koelker and wife Kim and Bill Koelker and wife Kelly, sister, Penny Painter, best friend, Joey Delauter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his stepfather, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Twigg and one sister, Patty Kesler. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2pm at Shaffer Memorial Park, Boonsboro, MD. Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, and online condolences may be offered at www.jldavisfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
