Ralph "Doug" Brown, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Doey's House, Hagerstown, MD.
Born August 23, 1940, in Martinsburg, WV.
Doug married Pearl Tederick, they had two sons, Michael and Bradley Brown.
After serving in the Marine Corps, he joined the Hagerstown City Police and then went on to the Maryland State Police, where he retired after 25 years.
Doug loved playing golf and was a member of the Waynesboro Country Club for 23 years.
His other passion was doing body work on cars. Doug could take a car apart from the ground, up, and put it back together.
There were serious discussions in his garage with his friends.
Doug is survived by his wife of 49 years, Becky (Dehart) Brown, sons, Michael Brown and wife, Wendy, and Bradley Brown and significant other, Kristie Dutrow, grandchildren, Shane Brown, Jennifer McCain, Taylor Stem, Jordan Brown, Riley Brown, and step-grandchildren, Jessie Churchill, and Cary Smith.
He is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Torrie Smith, and sister, Peggy LeMaster.
A private ceremony will be held by the family.
