ROBERT FRANCIS BOWERS, JR.

Robert F. "Bob" Bowers, Jr., 69, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his home.

Born May 7, 1954, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Robert F. Bowers, Sr., and Rayetta Marie (Griffith) Bowers.

Robert graduated from Boonsboro High School, Class of 1972. After graduation, he went on to Join the U.S. Navy.

He is retired from M.C.I., where he served for over 20 years.

Bob was an avid hunter and Bass fisherman and enjoyed gardening.

He was a member of the Pleasantville First Church of God.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert F. Bowers III, sisters Darlene Eichelberger, Ava Gift and husband Frank, and Ginny Wagner and Husband Donald, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharon Lee Bowers, and brothers, Errol "Butch" Griffith, and Rickie Bowers.

A Visitation and Service will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 6-8 pm, at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783, with Pastor Richard Frederick officiating.
