MYERS - Rosa M. (1946~2023) On Friday, December 22, 2023, Rosa Marie Myers, 77, of Hagerstown, transitioned from this earthly realm to her heavenly home. Born on Monday, November 18, 1946, she was the eldest daughter of the late Charles Swanger Sr. and the late Helen (Harnish) Swanger. She was the big sister of the late Harvey Swanger and the late Charlotte Smith.
Rosa's journey home was preceded by the passing of the love of her life, Robert W. (Skip) Myers, in 1990.
Survived by her loving children, daughter Rhonda Marie Merrill and husband Shannon of Hagerstown, and son Robert Alan Myers and wife Erin of Clear Spring, Rosa's legacy extends through her family. She leaves behind a cherished granddaughter, Tenley Myers of Clear Spring, and five grandsons, Brooks Myers of Clear Spring, Seth Merrill of Hagerstown, Isaiah Merrill and wife Taylor of New Windsor, Drew Merrill and wife Mariah of Hagerstown, and Alex Merrill and fiancée Morgan Foster of Troy, VA. Additionally, she leaves three great-grandchildren to carry forward her spirit.
Rosa is also survived by her brothers, Charles Swanger, Jr. of Hagerstown, and George Swanger and wife Gail of Hagerstown. She is remembered by her brother-in-law, Kennard Smith, Jr. of White City, KS, and great aunt Thelma (Harnish) Butts of Hagerstown.
Her interment will be private at the convenience of the family. A service celebrating the guiding light of Christ in Rosa’s life will be announced at a later time.
In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cutting Edge Ministries, 32 East Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740—a cause close to Rosa's heart. Your contributions will continue the legacy of love and care that she dedicated her life to, supporting those in need and making a positive impact in the community.
May Rosa's memory be a source of inspiration, fostering acts of kindness and compassion in the hearts of those she touched, and guiding others toward the light of Christ.
