Rita Mae (Ormrod) Barger

Rita Mae Barger went to be with our Lord on February 25, 2025. She was a loving wife, mom, Mom-mom and G'ma. Her family and faith were the two most important things to her, and she would do anything for either. She never stopped loving her dear husband, our Dad and Pop-pop, Jim. She is survived and deeply missed by her daughter Debbie Harker and husband Garry of Mt. Airy, MD; son Jim Barger and wife Kelly of New Market, MD and daughter Michelle Mapes and husband Erik, of Smithsburg, MD. She is lovingly missed by her grandchildren: Chris Harker, his fiancé, Donna and their daughter Keylee, his children, Didrik, Stella, their mother Dani and Donna's children Amy, Lila and Jocelyn; Katie Harker; Danielle Barb, husband Patrick and their children Brooks, Landon, Banks and Carrington; Tim Barger, Ben Barger, Michael Barger, Melanie Barger, Mikayla Mapes, fiancé Ike Canfield and his daughter Lexi; Haley Mapes, and Chase Mapes and fiancé Isabella Longo. She was predeceased by her loving husband James Barger, her parents Rita and John Barger, her brother-in-law, Mike Barger, sister-in-law, Marcella Gray, brother-in-law Benjamin (Buddy) Barger, and very close cousin Rosellen Roberts. She will be missed by her brother Jack Ormrod, wife Sandy, brother-in-law Richard Gray, sister-in-law Susan Barger and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 13219 Monterey Lane, Blue Ridge Summit, PA, with Rev. Peter Di'Tomasso, officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
