Robert Lester Cline, Jr.

Robert Lester Cline, Jr. 56, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away suddenly at Meritus Medical Center on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Born at Washington County Hospital on Monday, August 13, 1962, he was the son of Audrey Cline Wright and step-son of, Richard Wright. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lester Cline, Sr. He graduated from Smithsburg High School class of 1980 and attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, VA. Robert worked at Bob Evans for several years and was presently employed at Ashley Furniture in Hagerstown, MD. He enjoyed music, going on cruises and walking his dog, Miami, around his neighborhood. In addition to his mother and step-father, Robert is survived by aunts, Bernice Harne, Palma Willard and Josephine Willard, uncle, Robert Willard, step-brother, Robert Wright, step-sisters, Peggy Walker and Marilyn Shoemaker and many cousins. He will be fondly remembered by special friend, Danielle Jones. Services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00am at Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Smithsburg, MD, with Rev. A. Paul Harne officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Robert L. Cline, Jr. to Mt. Pleasant Church of God at, 24107 Foxville Rd. Smithsburg, MD, 21783.
