Robert Taylor Horne, Jr, 50, of 70 Amanda Drive, Smithburg, Maryland, proudly
served as a Safety Patrol Officer for the city of Baltimore Convention Center. Robert was called
home on Sunday August 13, 2023, while in the midst of doing what was second nature to him,
serving others.
Robert was born May 23, 1973, in the Home of Blues and birthplace of Rock and Roll, Memphis
Tennessee. He was the second child and only son of Robert T. Horne, Sr. and Nadine (Horne)
Heath.
He is survived by his Wife of 27 years Nicole Horne, daughter Kacy A. Horne, Nadine Heath
his mother, his father Robert T. Horne, Sr and step-mother Eddie Horne, his sister Devonaline T.
Horne and step-sister Teresa Wilson, his maternal grandfather Junius Heath, his mother and
father-in-law Gert and Karin Stadtlander, Grandmother-in-law Gretel Hunger, sister-in-law Susan
Mueller and his niece and nephews Quincy Horne; Stella, Noah and Aaron Mueller and a host of
uncles, aunts and cousins.
The Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, with Visitation from 10:00 am
to 11:00 am and the Funeral Service will start at 11:00 am at the Hagerstown Church of Christ,
19644 Leitersburg Pike Hagerstown, Maryland 21742. The Interment is the Smithsburg
Cemetery, 68 W. Water Street, Smithsburg, Maryland 21783
