Roxanna (Oyler) Vinson

Roxanna “Roxie” Vinson, 83, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 20, 1937 in Gettysburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Howard and Kathleen (McCleaf) Oyler. Roxie worked in several factories throughout her life retiring from Maryland Kitchens as a cabinet maker. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Robert E. Vinson, Sr., Two sons, Robert Vinson, Jr. and wife Kathleen, and David Vinson and wife Michelle. Three daughters, Deborah Vinson, Tina Vinson, Lisa Vinson Jones and husband Jim. One brother Charles “Buddy” Oyler and wife Joyce, one sister, Beatrice Smith and husband Johnnie. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her furbabies Prince and Mittens and the many stray cats she took care of. She was preceded in death by one daughter Brenda Vinson and one son James “Jim” Vinson, one sister Shirley Vinson, three brothers Junior Oyler, Richard “Dickie” Oyler and Harry “Jack” Oyler and several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the J. L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Avenue, Smithsburg, MD 21783. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
