Russell Krist Obituary

Russell Emil Krist, 74, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 25, 1951, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Russell was the son of the late Helen W. (Mihalick) and Oscar E. Krist. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Lewis and Joan Schreiber; and his in-laws, Elsie and Glenn King.

Russell was a proud graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1969. He dedicated 30 years of service to East Alcoa, retiring as a Manager. Known for his warm spirit and unwavering support for family, Russell enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of Penn State Athletics, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia Phillies. He was proud of his grandchildren’s involvement in sports and always supported them.

On December 28, 2025, Russell’s beloved wife, Luann D. (King) Krist, will honor the memory of their remarkable 55-year marriage—a testament to their enduring love and partnership.

He is survived by Luann; their daughter, Michelle Lloyd and husband, Troy, of Boonsboro, MD; son, Eric Krist and wife, Song, of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Karlee (Matt), Tobias, Jack, and Violet; great-grandchild, Lane; sister, Cindy Krist of Mechanicsburg, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
