Sherry Ann Koontz, 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Hospice of Washington County, Doey’s House, in Hagerstown.
Born February 27, 1944 in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter Jackson Kidd and Ann Kathyrn Ferrell.
She was a homemaker and Protestant by faith.
She was a member of AARP.
She enjoyed gardening, crafting, woodworking and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gary E. Koontz who she married February 7, 1992, daughter, Tracey O’Keefe and husband Larry, stepdaughter, Sherry Mantz and husband Gerald, stepson, Kevin Koontz, two brothers, William Kidd and Sonny Kidd, one sister, Diane Hoverlock, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one step great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Naomi Crim and two sisters.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
