Shirley Lee (Longanecker) Hastings

Shirley Lee Hastings, born Shirley Lee Longanecker, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026. She was born March 23, 1934, in Lackawanna, NY, to Floyd Evers Longanecker and Zada Rose (Staley) Longanecker. Shirley was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, strength, and love and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Fred Samuel Hastings; her three sons, Greg Hastings and wife Connie, Keith Hastings, and Brian Hastings and wife Kim; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and her seven siblings, Sylvia Crum, Rose Whorten, Nancy Ryder, Larry Longanecker, Linda Hitt, David Longanecker, and Cathy Billmeyer. She was preceded in death by; one sister, Sue Ellen Metzger, two brothers, Curtis Longanecker, and Floyd “Bud” Longanecker, and one daughter-in-law, Vicki Hastings. Shirley leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will continue to live on through those she loved. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
