Shirley May (Smith) Shawyer, 64, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.
Born December 7, 1958, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Richard Smith, and Myrtle (Tosten) Smith.
She Resided at Hagerstown Health Care where she enjoyed playing bingo and singing Karaoke.
Shirley was a great mother and a loving daughter.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Heather R. Dimattei and Fiancé Sahgoney Amerga of Hagerstown, MD, April Dimattei of Hagerstown, MD, and Brandy Shawyer of Hagerstown, MD, grandchildren, Tanisha Love, Christopher Love, and Xavier Love, great-grandchildren, Chyna Love, Mariyah Love, and Emani Shawyer, brothers, John Smith, and Richard Smith, sister, Melissa Smith, sister-in-law, Robin Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hazel and John House, and aunt, Shirley Clipp.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
