Steven “Roger” Bradburn, 69, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Hospice of Washington County, Doey’s House, in Hagerstown, MD.
Born January 18, 1952, in Marion, NC, he was the son of the late William Stevenson Bradburn and Anna Lou Hopson and the stepson of Shirley D. Aurand of Smithsburg, MD.
He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1970.
Roger was a member of UAW local 171 and a previous member of ABATE. He was the founding president and CEO of the Bradburn Foundation.
He was employed by Landis Tool Company of Waynesboro, PA, and retired from Mack Trucks of Hagerstown, MD.
In addition to his stepmother, Shirley Aurand, Roger is survived by son, Steven Stevenson (Bradburn) and wife Jessica, grandchildren, Kellis Luke Barnett and Jeremiah Lance Stevenson, siblings, Ronald Bradburn, Charles Bradburn, Joseph Bradburn and Tammy Duffey, and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Eugene “Don” Bradburn and two nephews, Frankie Bradburn and David Bradburn.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor John Dean officiating. Inurnment will follow at Smithsburg Cemetery.
Viewing will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
