Terry Herbert Hitt

Terry Herbert Hitt, 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 4, 2021, at his home. He was born on July 28, 1944, in Clarksburg, WV. He was the son of the late Roscoe and Margaret (Pierce) Hitt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald A. Hitt, sister, Brenda L. Seipler, and son-in-law, James R. Brice. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Terry was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church on Summit Avenue in Hagerstown. Terry worked at Mack Truck in Hagerstown for 31 years before retiring in 1997. After retirement, he worked various jobs for a number of years. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda K. Hitt, daughter, Lisa Michael (Brian) and their children Kayla D. Clark (Josh), Madison and Noah, daughter, Michelle Eyler (Robbie) and their children Hunter (Cheyenne) and Sierra Judd (Dustin), two great-grandsons, Camden S. Eyler and Dawson L. Eyler who adored their pappy, great-grandson soon to be born in September, Axel J. Clark, sister, Sandra Huntsburger, brother, Edward W. Hitt and several nieces and nephews. He loved his family and friends greatly. He would do anything for his family. His family was his life and that included his furry friends, Pepper, Jordache, and Jordan. He will be buried with his beloved dog, Jordan. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 16, 2021, at 2:00pm at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Randy Reid officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Washington County SPCA. Arrangements were made by J.L.
