Theresa Ann Galotifiore-Gerlach

Theresa Ann Galotifiore-Gerlach, 71, of Hagerstown, MD, left this earth peacefully at home on January 12th, 2024.

She was born in Queens, New York in 1952 to Anthony and Millie Galotifiore.

Theresa attended Newfield High School before going to work at Smithtown General Hospital, NY where she started her nursing career in labor & delivery. She then moved to Virginia Beach where she met the love of her life.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Matthew Gerlach, daughters; Lisa Matthews Paul (Jp), Dakota Pallett Gerlach (Ethan) , Kendra Pallett Gerlach (Brandon) Carmela Gerlach (Greg) and her bonus “daughter” Shaylin Youngerman, her grandchildren Alexandra Terrell, DJ Matthews Paul, Anthony Taylor, Rylan Morales, Ivy Copeland, Grayson Spoonire, Joseph Taylor, her baby brother Anthony Galotifiore Jr. (Debbie) and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Millie Galotifiore, her oldest brother Jerry Galotifiore, & grandsons Brenden Clipp and James Morales.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10am at St Mary's Catholic Church in Hagerstown, MD.

A Viewing will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg MD.

Reception to follow at Brill Hall located at 17626 Bakersville Road, Boonsboro MD.

Theresa was an animal lover, & sponsored Elephants through the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation in her name to the trust.
