Tommy George Helser, 61, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at York Hospital in York, PA.
Born December 17, 1959, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Austin Baugher “Ozzy” Helser and Thelma Grace “Tom” (Morrow) Helser.
He attended Smithsburg High School.
He was employed over the years by Har-Tru Tennis Court and Swimming Pool Installation, West Brothers Construction and Fort Ritchie Janitorial Department.
Tommy loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his family. He enjoyed fishing and his Budweiser.
He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Helser, two stepsons, Shawn Schultz and Ryan Schultz, grandson, Dylan, granddaughter, Layla, two sisters, Teresa Machain and Trudy Halterman, one brother, Timmy Helser, companion, Kim Sanders, lifetime friend, Daryl “Wolfie” Sweeten and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Baugher Crilley and Barbara Elizabeth Pryor-Davis.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 2:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. A celebration of life gathering will follow at Pen Mar Park Pavilion #1. Bring a covered dish and help celebrate Tommy’s life.
