VANESSA DAWN PRYOR

Vanessa D. Pryor, 69, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at her home.

Born September 24, 1954, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Kennard Merle Smith and Lucy Elizabeth Horner.

Vanessa was employed by Mountain Gate Family restaurant in Thumont, MD.

She attended the New Life Chirstian Ministries in Hagerstown, MD.

Vanessa enjoyed vacationing at the beach with her sister every summer.

Vanessa is survived by her sons, David Heaton (Melissa) and Stephen Heaton (Ashley), grandchildren, Sierra, Kaitlyn, Ariana, Natalie, McKenzi, Damian, and Victoria, sister, Ann Hessong (Sam), brothers, Kenny Smith, Gene Smith (Darce), Gerald Smith (Maudi), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vanessas grandchildren meant everything in the world to her.

In addition to her parents, Vanessa is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Heaton, brother, Steve Smith, Lamont Smith, Paul Smith, and Tommy Smith.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 26, 2024, at 11:00 am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD, officiated by Pastor Ken Harris. Family will receive friends for Visitation on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm, at J.L. Davis Funeral Home.
