Valerie Christine "Val" Damico

Valerie C. (Val) Damico, 61, of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Born November 4, 1958 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joyce M. and John J. Damico Jr. She was a loving Mom, Nonna, sister, and friend. Val loved the outdoors, camping, and needlepoint. She enjoyed taking care of others as a caregiver and substance abuse counselor. She is survived by her son, John (Giovanni) J. Damico IV, his wife, Sarah N. Damico, three granddaughters, Elysah, Erykah, and Elyaah Damico, and puppy companion, Corrado, all of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Damico and wife, Cindy Damico of Waynesboro, PA, and her nieces. Additionally, Val is survived by a special "Big Sister" Nancy Batterson. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Damico. There will be no service. Val wished to be cremated. At the convenience of the family, there will be a celebration of life.
