Victoria Fries Rhodes

Victoria Fries Rhodes, 76, passed away on November 23, 2025, at home in Mercersburg, PA, surrounded by family.

Vicki was born to Annabel Alice and C. Richard Fries of Patchwork Farm, Mercersburg, on January 9, 1949. Vicki was a 1996 graduate of James Buchanan HS. In 1969, she completed her nursing diploma at the Washington Hospital Center in DC.

Vicki returned to the area when she married her childhood sweetheart, Carrol Paul Rhodes, on September 25, 1971. Vicki and Carrol loved to go fishing together.

Vicki was employed at the Chambersburg Hospital in the critical care unit for 33 years before retirement. She went on to spend the next ten years part-time with City Hospital in Martinsburg.

Vicki was a life-long Washington Football Fan and loved to attend live games. She enjoyed going dirt track racing, especially watching her brother and nephew race. She loved to spend time outside on the porch while watching her hummingbirds.

Vicki is survived by her daughter Erin Michelle Rhodes, granddaughter River Giada Varron, and her brother Gerry Fries, and his family. She was preceded in death by her daughter Teri Lyn Rhodes and her husband Carrol Paul Rhodes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
