Vivian Christina Bussard

Vivian Christina Bussard, 92, of Waynesboro, Pa, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Quincy Nursing Home.

Born November 6, 1932, in Mt. Lena, MD, she was the daughter of the late Floyd D. Swope and Pansy A. (Arnold) Swope.

Vivian attended Mt. Lena School.

She is retired from Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, as a housekeeper. 

Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, John D. Bussard, Sr., married March 7, 1953; daughter, L. Rae Brewer and husband, Charles; son, John D. Bussard, Jr. and wife, Joyce; Grandchildren, Amy Boyle (Dave), C. Daniel Brewer (Gregory Sarlo), Noah Brewer Anderson (Brenna Anderson), John D. Bussard III ( Brandy), and Brandon Bussard (Cristi); Great-Grandchildren, Genny Boyle, Rowan Boyle, Remington Bussard, Quinn Bussard, Simone Bussard, Azellie Bussard, Garrett Bussard, Hunter Bussard, and Willow Bussard; sister, Sylvia Johnson;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vivan was preceded in death by sisters, Devenia Welch and Charloette Swope, and brothers, Wilbur Swope, Edward Swope, Donald Swope, and Dalton Swope.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD. Family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
