Billy worked with his father, Bill, at Wolfe Brothers Construction until creating Wolfe & Son Construction in 1992. He retired from Wolfe & Son in 2012. The family business suited his inquisitive mind and engineering background. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, participating in the wagon train, going to breakfast, spending time with Brenda on the porch, and caring for his animals, farm, and his family.

He was also a member of the Cascade American Legion and Williamsport Redmen Lodge Tribe 84, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Lifetime Member, Model A Member, and Lifetime Member of the NRA.
His life was a living example of character, loyalty, honesty, and integrity. He reminded his loved ones daily of what our responsibility is to our family, friends, and country. He was a pillar in our mountain community.
