William Roy Bowers

William Roy Bowers, 77, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.

Born on January 19, 1946, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Genevieve Grace (Hayes) and Roy Edward Bowers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, David "Porky" Bowers and Dennis Bowers.

William attended North Hagerstown High School.

William worked in construction as a laborer and also caddied for golfers on local golf courses.

He was a member of The Little Club in Hagerstown.

William enjoyed watching golf and working on the area courses.

He is survived by his sister, Sue Blair, and husband, Ronald of Hagerstown; Several Nieces and 1 Nephew.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 22, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740 with Reverend Randy Reid officiating.
