William Allen Hottinger, 87, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Born July 23, 1937, in Dearwood, MD, he was the son of the late Loy W. Hottinger and Nellie V. Hottinger (Dove).
William was a graduate of Rockville High School.
He was an honored Veteran of the US Army.
He owned and operated B&W Enterprises for over 40 years.
William loved watching TV, taking trips with his family, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, whom he married on October 25, 1957, Bobbie Lou (Moore) Hottinger, sons, John A. Hottinger (Donna), Paul A. Hottinger (Stacey), grandchildren, John Hottinger, Jr., Dalton Hottinger, Dawson Hottinger, and Raven Hottinger, half-sister, Edith and half-brother, Rudolph, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Hottinger.
There will be a Graveside service on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Blueberry Hill, St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, 16603 Briardale Rd, Derwood, MD 20855.
